The Alabama
Operations Management Institute
(AOMI) is a four-week training
program for supervisors and
managers in
manufacturing industries. AOMI,
which is spread over a
four-month period, is a response
from Governor Riley and the
Alabama Community College System
to the needs of existing
industry in our state. AOMI is
designed to help manufacturers
maximize profits and
sustainability by maximizing
productivity. The curriculum
focuses on practical
applications of modern
principles and practices of
